How to issue ASEAN KOREA FTA C/O(AK Form) in KOREA

Today, I'll tell you procedure of issuing an AK Form(ASEAN-KOREA FTA Certificate of origin).

● South Korea

● ASEAN 10 country

Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippine, Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore

 

Tip.

Separated with AK Form, some country have made a bilateral/multilateral Free trade agreement as below.

You can choose type of FTA which more preferencial.

What is a FTA Certificate of Origin

 

● FTA partner country can apply preferential tariff treatment to importing goods, provided that AK Form is submitted to the customs office for the clearance of import.

● FTA C/O refers to document that proves originating country of goods produced, manufactured or precessed.

 

 

 

 

Who can issue AK Form ?

 

Exporter, Manufacturer or customs broker(authorised by exporter, manufacturer) shall apply to the issuing authority.

- Regional CCI(Chmaber of Commerce and Industry)  -  https://cert.korcham.net/base/index.htm

The competent customs auhority confirm origin of the good in question pursuant to modality and procedures stipulated in the AK FTA agreement.

 

 

 

Procedure of issuing AK Form

 

When you issue a C/O, you should follow the steps below.

1. Check HS 6-digits between export country and import country
2. Check benefits of a preferential tariff treatment
3. Check product's originating rules
4. Fill up document for proof of origin of the goods
5. Apply for FTA C/O to the issuing authority on internet
6. After screening from authority, you can print out FTA C/O_original

 

 

 

Documents for proof of origin of the goods

 

The documents required to be submitted to authority for issuing FTA C/O is as below

① Export Declaration Certificate
② Commercial invoice and packing list 
③ Affidavits of Origin (under Korean domestic law)
④ Bill of Materials
⑤ Process Flow Chart
⑥ Documents supporting Cost and Production Statement (if applicable)
⑦ Declaration of Origin* (under Korean domestic law)

* In case of exporter and manufacturer are different. or;

  In case of proof of origin of materials.
